I was completely honored to have been chosen to be featured as Makeup Artist in the December 2015 issue of Ottawa Citizen’s Style Magazine. I was asked to create a Holiday Inspired Makeup look on my model Daria, so I chose to go with a simple but classic look. The inspiration behind ‘Holiday Chic:’ I wanted to incorporate the rich crimson hues of the Holiday season by including a deep red lip in the makeup look. With the lip as the focal point, I kept the rest of the makeup quite soft and clean. I balanced out Daria’s makeup by adding a touch of a bronze color to the eyelid which complemented her beautiful blue-green eyes. I wanted the makeup to be effortless enough so it could be easily recreated. Lastly, I chose to use only one brand for my key products so that if the reader wished, they could pick them all up in ‘one stop.’ Having the images of the featured products be of the same brand also kept the layout of the page consistent and seamless.
